Self Portrait.

If I am being honest, Dlong Digital was born from years of appreciation of art, film, and whiskey, which I have to credit to my father, Michael James Delong. We did not see eye to eye on much, but these three were the glue of our relationship. We spent many hours talking about art he had purchased from one of his close friends, goodwill, first Friday art walks, student artists, and just about anyone he met. During these conversations we always had a glass of whiskey and some jazz playing in the background. It was hard to tell if the focus of the discussion was the art or the music. When we weren’t talking about art, we were talking about films.

Unfortunately, in late November 2020, my dad passed away. During this time, I struggled to enjoy all the things we had passionately spent hours, days, and years discussing. It took some time to recover from this loss. Eventually, I revisited art, film, and whiskey in a way that allowed me to honor his memory and reinvigorate a passion for these things we spent so much time and effort focusing on.

Present day, I am spending all of my free time photographing, filming, learning, and talking about liquor. I bring an appreciation of the subject. Whether it is problem-solving a shoot, coming up with new and exciting ways to speak about, or showcasing content, I am all in. I want to invite you along my journey and would be honored to be a part of yours.
